Leticia “Lety” Elizondo

Managing Partner

A lawyer with more than ten years of practice in mergers and acquisitions, financial law, corporate law and cross-border transactions.

She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Business Law from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.

Her professional background includes serving as in-house counsel at Fibra Educa and as an associate at Galicia Abogados, S.C. She began her practice as a legal intern at Notary Public No. 105, with Lic. Conrado Zuckermann.

As managing partner of the firm in Mexico City, her practice focuses on sports law, financial law and mergers and acquisitions.

She is President of the Northwestern-Kellogg Club of Mexico and a Steering Committee member of the Northwestern Law Latinx Alumni Group. In 2025 she received the Rising ‘Cat Award from the Northwestern Alumni Association in recognition of her emerging leadership and volunteer service. For 2026-27 she was named an Executive in Residence at the John L. Ward Center for Family Enterprises at the Kellogg School of Management.

Fernando José Cabrera García

Founding Partner

Founder of the firm. A lawyer with more than thirty years of experience in telecommunications, sports law, sports and entertainment sponsorship, institutional administration in sport and entertainment, government contracts and international negotiations.

He holds a law degree from Universidad Iberoamericana, a Master of Laws from Georgetown University Law Center and a Master's in International Sports Business Management from Johan Cruyff University.

He has served as Assistant General Counsel of AT&T Mexico, General Counsel of Grupo Iusacell, S.A. de C.V. and Legal Director for Sports, News and Entertainment at TV Azteca. Earlier in his career he was a partner at Baker & McKenzie.

He has served as an arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, Switzerland, as a legal specialist across disciplines including football, tennis, cycling, basketball, boxing and Olympic sports.

In academia he has taught Sports Arbitration and Sponsorship Agreements, and Laws and Regulation of Football. He collaborated with Lic. Javier F. Becerra at Basham, Ringe y Correa on the most widely recognised English-Spanish legal dictionary in Mexican legal scholarship, published by the Escuela Libre de Derecho, and has contributed on sporting matters to the digital edition of Forbes México.

Ivan Ruiz Moreno

Of Counsel

Law degree from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Duke University and a diploma in telecommunications from ITAM.

He has completed seminars on contractual and regulatory matters for the oil and gas sector with the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, and on electricity with Electricity Utility Consultants, Inc.

He brings more than twenty years of experience across regulated industries and general corporate and commercial law. He has served as a public official at the former COFETEL, as legal director for telecommunications concession and permit holders, as a member of COFETEL's Advisory Board, and as parliamentary adviser and legal counsel to domestic and foreign companies in telecommunications, broadcasting, corporate and contract law, competition, regulation, spectrum auctions, administrative law and the electricity sector.

He is an independent director of a subsidiary of the Comisión Federal de Electricidad and a board member of the Instituto del Derecho de las Telecomunicaciones, A.C. (IDET), the Federal Communications Bar Association (FCBA) and the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN). He has written widely and taken part in conferences, forums and television and radio interviews on the telecommunications industry.

His practice has been recognised by specialist telecommunications directories including Chambers & Partners and the newspaper Reforma. Languages: Spanish (native), English (native level), intermediate Mandarin and French.

Oscar Servín González

Of Counsel

Law degree from Escuela Libre de Derecho (ELD), with a master's in Globalisation of Law from ELD and a master's specialising in civil law from UNAM. He specialises in civil, commercial and administrative matters.

He has represented telecommunications companies in litigation over the use and exploitation of radio spectrum before the Mexican legal system and before the Inter-American human rights system. He brings more than twenty-five years of experience in credit and contract litigation.

He is an honorary researcher at Escuela Libre de Derecho, where he led the legal informatics area of its Centre for Legal Research and Informatics and served on the editorial committee of the encyclopaedic legal work marking the school's centenary.

As a researcher he has published studies and academic commentary on public policy relating to security, public works and government procurement, the administration of justice, comparative law, legal informatics and commercial law.

He was external adviser to the National Commission of Superior Courts of Justice of Mexico (CONATRIB), contributing to the design of modernisation, collaboration and organisation projects for state courts. He has lectured at master's level at Universidad de Colima and Universidad Marista de la Ciudad de México, and is a member of the Asociación Nacional de Abogados de Empresa.

Jaime Valerio Hernández

Of Counsel

Law degree from Escuela Libre de Derecho (ELD), specialising in financial law and trusts. He has represented financial institutions in commercial and administrative litigation and brings more than twenty-five years of experience in credit and contract litigation.

He headed the general legal and trust department of Banco de Comercio Exterior and later led the legal advisory area at INFONAVIT, in addition to working for credit institutions and serving several of them as consultant and technical secretary.

He has extensive experience in financial matters and the execution of trusts in Mexico and abroad, whether publicly or privately funded. He has taken a leading role in transactions and restructurings of infrastructure contracts of national significance.

Among his most notable qualities is his leadership, on which he has drawn to direct the work of numerous legal professionals across Mexico.

Jorge Monroy Daguerre

Of Counsel

Law degree from Universidad Tecnológica de México, specialising in civil, labour and constitutional law, with more than twenty years of experience.

He is a certified ISO-9000 auditor and holds a postgraduate qualification in Labour Law and Social Security, together with diplomas in Civil and Commercial Forensic Practice and in Constitutional Law. He has extensive knowledge of telecommunications law.

He has practised at several firms, including Trigueros y Asociados, S.C., and has acted as attorney-in-fact for banking institutions including Banca Cremi, Banco Internacional, Banco Unión, Multibanco Mercantil and Banco Nacional del Pequeño Comercio.

Over his career he has held senior positions including Litigation Director at Iusacell, Unefón, Total Play and AT&T. As Litigation Director at AT&T he represented the company before a range of authorities and developed a thorough command of the judicial system.

He has taken a successful part in a range of transactions and reorganisations of companies with international operations.
